When you create an account, we collect:

• Account info: Name, email address, and encrypted password
• Habit data: Habits you create, completion logs, streaks, and mood entries
• App preferences: Selected theme, notification settings
• Device info: Device type and OS version (for crash reporting only)

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

• Provide the habit tracking service
• Sync your data across devices (if you create an account)
• Send notifications you've opted into (reminders, milestones)
• Improve the app through anonymous usage analytics

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All API communication uses HTTPS encryption.

If you use the app without creating an account (guest mode), all data stays on your device only — nothing is sent to our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Play Billing: For processing in-app purchases (Google's privacy policy applies)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: For push notifications (optional)

We do not use any advertising SDKs or sell data to advertisers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. Period.

The only exception is if required by law (court order, legal process).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data
• Export: Export your habit history (Pro feature)
• Opt-out: Disable notifications at any time

7. Children's Privacy

HabitForge is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
